Aaa!!! well my blog works and I am kind of proud to be honest, I really underestimate my powers in technology sometimes, or is it that it is actually easy to have a blog!! mmmm... Well anyway lets say I am clever for now :)
Today I spent my day asking people: where would they want to be buried..
So anyway I asked 5 friends_ no names given of course_ and I had 5 different answers.. Since I am not posting their names I will try to tell quickly their answers..
1- A friend of mine who is half Lebanese/half (mmm lets say) European (since I do not want to give any details about her).. So this friend said she wanted to be cremated. She hates the idea of being underground, I will spare the details of what happens since we all know about those, but she wants her ashes to be either thrown in the Mediterranean Sea by the Lebanese coast or in a forest in her European country..
2- Another friend who is also Lebanese/Italian, was raised in Lebanon until he was 18, I think, and then went to Italy to study, work and live, he is married with 3 kids. He said he would rather be buried where his kids would be living, BUT if they are living each one in a country then he would want to be buried in Italy, in his hometown to be more specific!
3- 3rd friend told me he never thought about it to be honest.. He is British/American. When I asked him about where he thought his homeland was, he said nowhere to be honest.. (maybe this is why he never thought of where he would be buried) He lives now in a third country far from Britain and US.
4- Well this friend when I asked him, told me he thinks it is getting serious and that I should seek help ha!!! Yeah I think he was joking, I mean at least I hope he was joking... I am sure he is joking come to think of it, he wants me to send him my project, he would love to read it.. I am sure he will not send it to a mental hospital and have them take me away!! Oh well...
5- 5th: well she is the friend I was talking to over the phone and I felt kind of stupid while I was explaining about the project. I think saying it up loud makes it lose its mmm... spirituality (?!) Anyway she wants to be buried in her hometown Palestine, just because she has no right to be buried there... Kind of a statement..
Anyway I would love to see in case anyone reads this blog, where they would want to be buried, although I would need more details:
- Father and Mother's nationalities..
- Where they were born, raised, lived, and where they live now
- Married or not, kids or not.. etc.. I do not need names actually.. Just to have different answers..
I promise once I do the project I would share it here.
I am actually going to a dinner with friends now, maybe i get more ideas? Or maybe I just keep silent about it and enjoy my dinner.. I will see. D
Today I spent my day asking people: where would they want to be buried..
I am in the middle of researching for a project about that. I was talking to my friend earlier on the phone and while telling her about the idea I kind of felt I was very pessimist or did she think I was?! Even though I can visualize in my head beautiful images about it..
